We recently finished a roof top pool deck in Washington DC. The pool was on the 4th floor of a new fitness club. Sections of the pool deck are synthetic turf and the other sections are IPE hardwood tiles. The entire pool deck is raised up approximately 15 inches on Bison pedestals with drains built into the roof beneath the decking. The sections that are synthetic turf have concrete pavers as the base. The pool is situated in the redeveloped DC Navy Yard and overlooks the Anacostia River. It is expected to be open in October.
Facts About What We Installed:
- 3,600 sq. ft of synthetic turf
- 4,400 sq. ft of IPE wood tiles
- 6,200 Bison pedestals
- 144,000 lbs. of materials
This project took six weeks to complete. We craned in all material with a 120-ton crane. To learn more about our rooftop deck installation services, contact us today!
